Our good old friends, Lyle and Rema, had us over for a pre-Christmas dinner last night. We've been friends for 35 years and I don't think a single Christmas Season has gone by that they haven't had us over for a special dinner (although all their dinners are special). They love to entertain and we are most willing to be entertained! It's always a pleasure to go over to their stunning log cabin on the lake and eat, have a drink, play cards and of course catch up on all the goings on in the neighborhood. It was especially nice last night to sit and marvel at all their Christmas decorations - of course no inch of space is left vacant and you never will see everything, but it's fun trying. This tray of baking you see here is what Rema calls dessert appetizers! After a dinner of salad, bbq ribs, potatoes, carrots, and asparagus, she puts this out until she gets the
real desert ready - it's positively decadent!
