Merry and Bright

Here's another handmade Christmas card. I have about 40 of these left over from my Christmas Craft Fair. I think I just enjoyed making them so much and found it so calming that I couldn't stop. I've already donated a couple dozen to our local Palliative Care fundraiser, given everyone I know a handful, and sent some as Christmas cards to the few people that I didn't give any away to! I traced the whimsical bird from a rusty tin shape I had purchased from Provo Craft. I embossed a heart and inked it in red while I still had the embossing template on top of it. I also inked the edges of the bird - something that I th(ink) is an absolute must to add depth to any project. A snippet of red for the beak, a punched circle for the eye and then I glued it over top of some flexible screen. I designed and printed the stamp image and text on a piece of heavy cream cardstock and then used a rubber stamp to stamp the postmark. The inside reads "May your days be Merry and Bright".
