September - the picking season.

This is a gorgeous little brooch perfectly compliments the Hairy Growler cheeky lil pixie collection. He has been handcrafted and recycled from an old, neglected antique spoon 'dug up' at a local charity shop in Cambridge. Totally undesirable to most shoppers as a purchase, I immediately saw that this here little spoon was going to be the beginning of a whole new style of cheeky pixie boys. The perfect shape and size for what i had been sketching! It was meant to be.

Here he is, 'green' from every conceivable angle, off to enjoy the delights of the countrycyde.

The remaining spoon is also worked upon to turn it into a gorgeous object and talking point for the wearer. It also works nicely as a little nest/home for the brooch when it is not being worn!

The ultimte natural recycled art!...........

I don't know where, why or how but it looks amazing so i thought it should be shared! Does anyone recognise the place? It definitely looks Northumbrian / Highlandish. I don't know what to do with myself now i have finished all those pieces! I suppose i will be dribbling on this blog throughout Xmas! I have various recycled jewellery ideas involving old silver coins, which i am looking forward to playing with! I also have a great heap of ideas people have suggested that they would be interested in purchasing should i create them, which is challenging!! And then i should also have my head down making my stock which i never have!!! I know, thank you! I will stop now, have a refreshment! and ponder.
